Check the Interceptor (Aeroforce) website. The device is manufacturer and buss specific. This one will work on my '07 Expedition but not '02 Explorer. CAN2 vs CAN data buss. There are specific models for Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc based on the data their systems put on the buss.
This gauge is designed to mount in a pod but I've stopped looking for a nice pillar post pod for my Expedition. Tried one for the F150 and it was unacceptable. I temporarily mounted mine in a corner the dashboard 4 years ago. Still Velcroed there.
The gauge will cycle thru four parameters on both displays for a total of 8 displayed (2 at a time). There is also an alarm that can highlight any parameter. Mine alarms Transmission Temperature. They guys with Mustangs use it as a shift indicator. I typically monitor transmission temperature (trailer towing) and cylinder head temperature. Engine coolant temperature runs flat line just below 200°F with my trailer.
More of a gadget with my 5000 pound camper and 9000 pound maximum towing capacity. If you're towing closer to maximum transmission temperature is a critical thing to monitor.
Note the Green display is blinding at night and inconvenient to dim via the menu. At least on my early model. The Areoforce guys used my Expedition to find Transmission Slip (Trans Slip 2). They reflashed the firmware and replaced my display with Red which is wonderful at night but nearly invisible in daylight. Maybe blue is a good compromise?
