31725 is for vehicles with the modular engines, it will not work for your application. You would need 31724.

FWIW Those are some pricey coils IMHO. I have a MSD, many have found great success with the Accel products as well. I am sure the brand you are looking at is a well made product, just a little more than I would pay.

An MSD coupled with a good cap/rotor and the ford racing wires will make your motor run like a top!

See my previous reply. If you already have that coil then use it. Personally I think you paid too much, but I am a cheap bas**rd. What you will need is good quality plug wires, cap and rotor. That is true regardless if you purchased this coil or any other brand.

Using cheap quality offshore products to deliver high voltage is false economics.

I bought this coil originally for my mustang ended up wrecking it, bought another one and its being worked on as well so I'm hussy borrowing the coil basically.

ok I test drove the truck but it seams like while I drive it, it is hesitating and going intermittent while driving.I checked for hoses unplugged but didn't see anything. the plugs do need changed, any suggestions on those?

I think the coil might actually be bad...
so I'm gonna see if I can test it.

I'd just get a Motorcraft one, or possibly BWD replacement. I have had the MSD one and it did not last but a few years. I also noticed no gain of any kind by having it on the truck.
