Saw an awesome grill!

This truck was parked next to my Jeep in Lotus CA at a rafting company lot. I just had to share.

Jaws 4??

A novel approach.

Would I cut up a good grill to do that,,, hell no. Mind you if it was stuffed it maybe justified.

Would I leave it that way,,, hell no.

Not really my cup of tea.

Besides,,, after all the flack I copped, about wanting to do some pin striping and scroll work on my old girl,,, I'm not game to say I like it,,,,lol.

All I can say is, thank christ we all got different tastes. It'd be bloody boring otherwise.

Cheers, Ron

Take a bite out of crime. And for those big dump trucks, stay ahead 200 feet or I will eat you alive.

The kid was a 20 something and loved this truck. I think if it gets kids into classics what is the harm. He told me he has a correct grill as well this one was a metal shop project. I like it!

The same thing coulda been done with flat black paint. I did something similar just after I bought my '65 F100 Standard Cab new.

I painted out all the 8 vertical bars except where they crossed the center horizontal bar. So, it looked like it had just a straight horizontal bar, tidied up the front end.

Shark Week

That is one of the best altered grilles that I have seen, put one of those
Shark fin, Buick style antenna on top and it would be finished.
Also the more I see of that style of mirror, the more I like 'em.

Looks really good.

Many people don't have the creativity or guts to do something like that. Most of the people who try something like that don't have the ability to make it look good.

Coming from "Robertthegrilleguy" I like it. Creativity is the key. Having the ability and the Cajones to think outside the box and not care what the purist think is Riding in style. The grille actually looks good, if it was a botch job or he put a grille from a chevy (which I have seen) then I would have a different opinion, but he did good. It's still a FORD with FORD parts. So

Well i think its neat. Its not something I would do to my original grill, but if I found an extra great up grill somewhere I night consider something like that, but I could always change it.

Heck, I think it looks fun. Don't think I would do it with mine but to each their own.

FoMoCo OBSOLETED the 1965 grilles in September 1965, replaced them with 1966 grilles for use as service part replacements.

Decent 1965 grilles have been hard to find ever since.

FoMoCo OBSOLETED the 1964/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD Styleside tailgate in September 1966, replaced it with the 1967 (1967/72) Styleside tailgate for use as a service part replacement.

Lotsa luck finding one a these '64/66 tailgates in decent shape.
