Gathering interest (supercrew tow mirrors)

I'm a member on some other forums and thought maybe you guys would like to know about this as well.

Like a lot of you guys with a 97-03 SCREW I want a set of direct bold on with ZERO modifications of any kind f250 style tow mirrors. Well here's the deal, I'm currently working with a very close friend of mine that manufactures automotive parts to see what we can come up with. Our goal is simple...

1) good sturdy construction
2) power mirror
3) led turn signal

From what I can tell there seems to be a pretty big interest in mirrors like this for our cab style. I would like to gather a head count of guys that would be interested. Once things get moving along and I get the prototype in front of me I'll get pics posted along with price point.

If there's any specific things that you guys would like to see on the mirrors let me know. Things like blind spot mirror, over all style and so on. If its easier post up some pics of other mirrors that you like so I can get a more accurate idea of what you're looking for.

Oh and one more things I'm looking and hoping to have this out by months end. This way they will be ready and in time for the holidays to put on our Christmas lists to the wives and girlfriends!

Thanks and cheers

I was looking for telescoping towing mirrors for my 2003 supercrew and came up with nothing like everyone else did. I like the square mirrors on the newer super duty trucks however I thing the rounded off mirrors would look better with the truck. I like having a convex mirror across the bottom.

I have a 2004 Ram 2500 truck as well that is used as my primary towing vehicle, these mirrors rotate 90 degrees to become vertical and can be left horizontal when not towing. This way they don't stick out as much when you are not towing.

Mirrors vertical

Mirrors horizontal

There doesn't seem to be as much vocalize or lurking interest on this forum but I'll still keep you up to speed. So far I have received A LOT of interest in making these and possibly expanding the line to the other cabs of our generation. This will depend on how well the supercrew ones do. So far what I'm looking at would be a blending of sorts for the 99-04 super duty using the mirror housing itself and dual mirrors. Off the 05 version i would use the two arm mounting point on the mounting flang allowing the mirror to flip forward and backwards. I would also incorporate a smooth led turn signal like the 05 version but curve the inner edge more to follow the couture of the 99-04 design.

Any update regarding the mirrors? This series of trucks are 11+ years old already. Pretty soon this generation will be moved to the antique section of the forum.
