Will it fit?

I drive an 89' ford f150 4x4 (standard)
oil is leaking from engine, plus it burns oil. Truck tends to chug and sputter.
Also, tranny is missing a bearing...

I have an motor from my late stepfather, however don't know if it will fit.

Would like to know if anyone knows the year it would be and what it is more likely to be used for.

Firing order is: 15426378

the rest of the numbers I found 7A9 C7TE 9425-F

Any info would be great

Thanks

Christine

Well its a 77pavement model year truck engine part for sure.

The 9425 seems to be the part for the intake manifold tho I think.

It may be an old FE block. If so then no it wont work without alot of work. However It also has a 302 firing order. Someone else will chime in with more info

you should be able to find a complete wrecking yard motor and tranny with low miles in running condition for under $800. keeping an eye on craigslist might yield the same stuff even cheaper.

what engine, tranny do you currently have in the truck now?

Either way it prolly wouldn't be alleging you'd wanna put in your truck unless its just for farm use. It'd be an old carbed style motor and would have poor mpg even in optimum condition compared to a rebuilt sbf of our vintage. You should check in the dentside 73-79 forum. Those guys are great and should be able to help you more.

C7TE = 67 truck, it does appear to be FE block from what I can find. Should be 2bbl intake.
