Unhappy Rotor/hub identity crisis

Ok I may be way off in left field, but I need to replace the rotors on my Bronco (4wd), I wanted to get the whole hub/rotor assembly. But my truck has 4 wheel ABS and everything I've read so far shows that it shouldn't. Truck was made in 10/94. Everywhere I've looked trucks didnt get 4 wheel ABS till 5/95.....Anyone else run into this issue?

Another question, Can I run normal, non ABS rotors on my truck without issues or will that cause a computer issue, as it wouldnt see the front wheels?

Well I don't wanna pull my rotors off till I have new ones to put on. I do however have the ABS sensors going to the knuckles....thats what makes me think I have 4 wheel ABS. Unless theres another sensor there.

Ok I checked and yes I do have the ABS tone ring on the backside of the hubs.

So do I jsut have to get rotors for a 4 w ABS truck regardless of manufacture date. That was another thing that coonfused me. Is an ABS rotor an ABS rotor, or did they did between 94-96? What about the hub?

yes get abs rotors regardless of your year

since your rig was built so late in 94 its considered a 95 production model year truck. thats why it probably has that hardware.

There was a production split on the front rotors in 05/95, but it didn't have to do with ABS. They are listed with or withouit ABS for both production dates. IIRC that's when they went from a 1 piece to a 2 piece seal.

Does that make a huge difference? Couldn't I just get the different seal?

Is there something wrong with your hubs? It is not hard at all to swap the rotors, you do not need a press. Not to mention a fair bit cheaper. The aftermarket hubs are not made from the same quality material. I would keep the OE hubs and just knock the studs out and swap rotors.

Well I need new studs as the PO forced an assortment of lugs on then. I got a good deal on the whole assembly. $55 a side.
