Just got back from the....

Bass Pro Shops East Peoria Grand Opening. It was nuts. Could not believe how many people were there. Thousands is an understatement. Funny thing was that I was able to get a parking spot relatively close to the front and the truck drew a HUGE crowd lol. I had several people approach me asking about this and that. My wife does not ride in the truck much and said "good lord" with all the people coming around it. When we left BPS I came out to a crowd bigger around my rig than the NASCAR's that were parked fairly close to it. Funny stuff. Way too many people for my liking.

Gavin, it was a nightmare. Doors were suppose to open at 6 but it ended up being 6:50. My family wanted to kill me during that wait but we made it. I could not believe how many people were there. Just nuts. I am glad there is one fairly close by. I buy a lot of crap online but still like to make the trip to BPS every once in a while. Kids love it as well.

They do draw a lot of attention. I see it wherever we go with the truck. The first question is usually about the engine.

Mine seemed to be suspension related and I also heard a lot of "look at those steps" (Amp Steps). The ladies seemed to love them the most. The guys liked watching my wife on the steps. It was a win win for all LOL.

Gotta love truck guys .

You get more attention in a Superduty than you do in a Vette. I love it.

This truck draws almost as much attention as driving the Lambo around. It's good and bad lol.

Sgt93,

I went by there last Saturday night and it was still nuts...I saw kids taking their dates there (Uncle Bucks?) for homecoming dinner...my son took his homecoming dates to Biaggies, he was bummed after I told him this.

Yes it was nuts!

I'm glad the BPS is a hit. We really needed that store in the area.

I can get lost in those stores. I once had a whole crew of firemen quiz me on info about the new engine. Mine gets attention and is bone stock looking, I can only imagine ha

We have a BPS here....More of a Fishing place, if you ask me. Not my cup of tea. We also have a Cabelas near..NOW that place is awesome...caters more to hunters than fishing..just the opposite.

Bass Pro and Cabela's cater their stores to the community they are in. The Cab's by Chi-Town has a HUGE fishing selection which is great. The BPS in Peoria seems to be at a great 50/50 (fishing/hunting). After all, the anglers in this area are huge and so are the Bucks
