Adding a picture to signature

MI66,
There is a specification limit for the size of your Avatar. You can edit your Avatar within your User Control Panel (User CP above). I had to crop and save my picture a few times in order to get it to be under the limit. The file being so small, you end up losing lots of detail, but sufficient to get the job done. As for getting it in your Signature line, I've not explored that yet.

PS OK, looks like you need a Premium Membership to be able to add a static picture to your Signature line. I tried to load one without the membership, and while you can get it to load, it won't display.

FOOTNOTE:
Once you have that ability, here is the current spec for it:
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 450 by 150 pixels or 200.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
~That's specifically for the signature pics. and SMILEYS count as a signature pic.
(You can only have one picture per signature)
*I found that out not long ago
The avatar spec is different.

picture specs
I think you might be able to save larger files, but i don't recall at the moment. I posted the various avatar pics I've used, except for the S2000 (that was a test upload). Also, I think the member status might expand the spec and/or the total size of pictures you can upload.

Album pics can be pretty huge - I've even used full sized animated gifs as part of some of the projects I've done here over time.
Maximum File Size per Picture 976.6 KB *almost a megabyte
Maximum Picture Dimensions 1,024 by 768 Pixels
Pictures will be automatically resized to fit within these constraints if possible. However, you may receive better results by doing it manually
Here's a prime example of what you can do:
I built this animation for a truck contest to show off the pictures posted by a member of ours called BIGHAZARD. I was looking for a way to cram all those build pic's into one image, and this is what I came up with (It would have looked better as a smaller image)
* I used eight separate jpeg images, then stripped out as much as I could to get the file size within limits. ~It just barely made it!!!
But yeah - that's in one of my albums here. It was the best way to make sure it never "Got Invisible" because of another site not allowing it to be shared
A few others, just for fun...
***The above pic will repeat the "STAR WARS" thing, but it is set to a long delay...
~Unfortunately, at that point I realized I was not going to be able to continue it - at least not as a one man band
Out of them all, what I did for BigAirT was the most complex - and I had a nagging idea that I was stagnating...
I needed to move on and keep checking out what could be done
I'm very proud of the online graphical presentations that I figured out how to do here, and I believe justifiably so.
I hope I've given you some cool ideas. TRUCKLOADS of them...
