Hello! Need some advice before i have the truck towed to a repair shop. While driving home today, the truck started pulling HARD left....thought I had a leaking/low tire...but when I stopped, the front left tire was hot and I could smell the brakes. Odd that only the left brake is hanging up....any suggestions? I've read on previous forums that the caliper pins tend to corrode? Hammer to the caliper, cycle the parking brake? Any advice appreciated.

 

Also check the flex line to the caliper. Look to see if its wet pinched or distorted. I've also seen one pad get stuck in the spring clips on the bracket.

 

I too had a inside pad on the driver's side hang in the clip.

 

Parking brake only operates rear brakes. The caliper slides stick all the time not uncommon, had to heat the bracket to get slide to loosen. Anti seize is a great thing to use on parts that you don't want to get stuck together.
