Looks good. I'm doing basically the same thing to my 49 F-1 but I'm using Krylon satin black rattle cans...

thanks for all your positive comments. we are happy with the flatrod II.

Tim, i may have those old directionals around if you want to add them to something. you can't buy that patina.

Vern, on my truck anything that isn't sprayed urethane flat black is either krylon satin or rustoleum satin black. my brother was impressed when i demo'd the 10 minute drying time.

today is the second day back at "work" (more like play). drove into a metal recycling center to turn in some copper and brass. the guys that know me and saw the old truck were interested, thought it looked good. a stranger said "that truck doesn't belong in a place like this" you'd think i was turning it in for scrap with that comment. it's a work truck that looks pretty at the moment.

yes! american historical truck association this saturday and sunday at the saratoga county fairgrounds, ballston spa. i'll be there with the flatrod II and my brother in law will be there with his red/white chevy AD 3100. if you come over, look us up. actually we are only there saturday. i put a post up about this a week ago, you must have missed it. dick r.
