Smile ford 7.3 love from others

I recently pulled into a parking lot and a fellow wanted to take a picture OF MY TRUCK,sheepishly I said fine,I always wanted this body style and am soo glad I found one,I stare at it from my window and weep openly, driving it is more fun though and my boys love the sound, could this be my last truck purchase? The to-do list here is overwhelming but alas,I should not be telling you guys what you already know,I'll shut up now.

I got a ticket in the mail from a traffic camera. I watched the video about 20 times before I actually watched for my infraction. Yep, I ran the light..... and then I watched the video another 20 times!!

I catch myself just staring at my truck and my wifes truck. Then I have to sit and think about what to cut from the regular budget so I can add a truck mod budget. So far I haven't rounded up any extra cash but I'm trying.

I'm not sure it will ever end. Sometimes my wife even has this problem. That is when we really have to be careful or our money would be gone!

Yes, yes, yes, I too catch myself staring at my truck with all its battle scars. Its taken me all over the country pulling thousands of pounds not complaining or leaving pistons and chunks of the engine block on the road when I'm running the crap out it. Its a real warrior, who cares what the snobs think who drive the pretty new ones. Its the OBS that blows by them on the next mountain grade!!!!!!

I know how you guys feel. As I said in other posts, I was thinking about getting at "02, but when I look at my truck, I just love it. The body style, to me, looks a lot better than the newer ones. And it is a hauler. I'll pull a goose neck trailer with equipment, total weight up to 19,000 lbs. That's pounds, not that kilo bull. And it pulls it. Oh, gotta go, I just got a wet spot in my shorts.

I also looked at newer generations but as a quick thought IMO the pre 72's were nice but a warm spot will always exist for my 79 f350 4x4 xlt,the 80-86 were ok,87-91,to me uh what front end could be uglier,93-97 cream of the crop on looks add a crewcab LB and,WOW,the 98 up are just bad awesome especially the 2010 up grill is a growl comin down the road but I didnt have 50 K of loose cash, in law just bought '03 6.0 and I researched it and cringed,my 95 is the only stlye that I have deep emotion over,ok the pc screen is all wet again....

I love my 97 cc sb cause its super clean with less than 90000 miles but my next truck is going to be like my dads 05' 6.0 that thing is a friggin bruiser. its got all the banks goodies on it and passes other trucks pullin a 5thwheel camper up a grade with no problems its crewcab short box xlt lariat with leather and power everything and an aux fuel tank with the transferflow computer it even rides nicer than mine with the air ride stuff every time i drive it i think about selling mine. i dunno dad must have gotten a good one cause he hasnt had any of the problems other people have. we have rebuilt the turbo twice now though but its performed even better each time we did so no complaints. I know, I need 2 trucks yeah thats the ticket.

This past weekend we had a Boy Scout outing and when it was time to load up the scouts the Scoutmaster said "now every one find a ride and get in". About 10 boys hauled azz to get to my truck first because they wanted to ride in a "race truck". Amazing what a 4" straight pipe and turbo whine will do to a young man's testosterone! LOL

My 3 year old love to listen my truck (as he says his truck) just sitting there at idle and gets mad when we go some where in mama's Escape

I try not to stare at my truck cause when I do my mod list gets longer and longer and my wallet starts to get scared
