Glow Plug Switch Question????

I have used a momentary switch for over three years now and am still satisfied with the way it works for me. Most of the time I just hold the switch on for about 30 seconds on my first start up, then after its warmed up good i don't use it. ( I don't drive my truck very often and much less in the winter )
I don't know about the concerns some have about carbon build up on the GPs, I thought the reason we use the beru's motorcraft gp's was so we wouldn't have a build up or swollen tips that make them difficult to remove.
Here is a sequence of 4 videos on a very cold start up on the morning of new years eve, it was very cold burrr about 5 degrees. Just thinking some of you may find this interesting or at least amusing.

Links are working now! That's a nice setup you have there! I could see how a triple post would come in handy, instead of holding on the switch the whole time. I've seen lighted ones that glow when they are on, or maybe rig it up so you have a LED light on when you are in manual mode.
EDIT: What is the hose by your stick there in video 3? And nice Galaxy(?) setup location by the way!
I don't see many posts on the DRX GP's, since pretty much everyone here swears by the motorcraft god plugs.

If you're considering this mod, you need to read...
DZLJim has a good, well thought out system mod on his projects page at Rosewood Diesel Shop. He uses a temp sensor in the water pump plug to disable the GP's through the GPR when the engine is warm, a relay from the start switch to disable the GP's while the engine is actually cranking to reduce the load, and a switch in the cab to disable the GP's. Leaving the system in normal allows normal cycling of the GP's at least for the first start of the day and anytime the engine has cooled down, unless the disabling switch (for Jose's climate) has been turned on.
