one more leaf spring question

I was reading the section what leaf springs to remove to lower my 57 f100. Today I went out to the garage and noticed that the two smallest ones on the passenger side, (The two on the bottom closet to the axle) had broken. Can I just remove the other 1/2 of those leafs and remove the other side to match. Anything that i need to be aware of, driving ect. What will be the negative I will not be hauling anything but the bed and my butt. Thanks

if you already have broken springs, what shape do you think the rest are in? tired? you may be able to get away with your idea for awhile, but? might have to replace the center bolts and u-bolts. how much use does this truck get and will you feel, and be, safe?
