Post pics of your trucks with "PATINA"

I hope this thread is still going, I remembered seeing it awhile back, but had a heck of a time finding it.
Here are a few pics of it now that I wet sanded off the surface rust and put a coat of liquid wax over it.
I was disappointed in the floor. Wire brushed the dirt off down to clean wood, and put a coat of polyurathane over it, but it was so dry it just absorbed it and turned dark.

here is a black and white pic from Nov 1977. It is grainy because it came form a newspaper pic. I bought the truck in June '77:
Here is a pic from Dec 1997:
This is a pic from 1998 before it went to the body shop. A lot of patina or rust:
I miss the truck with the old patina... I did not have to wash it... now I have to wash it or it looks bad. In the rust belt of PA when we get patina we also get total rust out and cancer. After sand blasting a lot of my sheet metal looked like swiss cheese...

Here is a little better picture of it.
It say
E. M. Eckert
Chillicothe MO
12000 lbs
This was my wife's grandpa's truck with his name and town. I have been asked by several family members if I'm going to paint the lettering back on. Actually it's more like "You are going to paint that back, right?" Yeah, I probably will. It makes it a little less my own, but keeps the family history.
You know it just hit me. The letters are the same color as the truck. You can see them because of the rust....were they stickers or something??? Maybe painted another color and that color finally faded off and left the original color without the rust...black maybe...
