Dashlights

So funny thing happened tonight,

I was leaving work, turned the truck on, started fine, went to turn on my lights, and none of the dash lights, ac control lights, or gauge lights came on. My radio lights came on fine, and the warning lights work fine (im low on gas trying to run my tank as close to empty as I can as Im doing the in tank mods next week, so my gas light was on). Got home, did a quick search on here, went out and checked fuse 19. Not blown, at least not visibly. Didnt have any other fuses at the house, and its almost 3 am, so stopped there. Figure it'd be faster to just start a thread on here than to try to work it out.

What I'm asking is this, has anyone experienced this issue? Where is the next logical place to look if the fuse is not the problem? I have a manual, so I would assume the OD wire chafing is not applicable here. When it comes to my electrical system I am a complete novice. I feel comfortable working on it, just need some guidance from the great folks on here.

BTW, slightly off topic, but if anyone is ever passing through Ellensburg, WA and feeling a little thirsty feel free to stop off at the Frontier Tavern. Ask for Palmer, and if I'm working I would be glad to buy the first beer.

It may be your dimmer, That is where I would go next see if you have power to it and from it to the dash lights.

Well not really but you could try a light tester or you could try to jump out the dimmer with a piece of wire and see if the dash light come on. Don't for get that you have to have at least your park lights on.

went out and checked all the connections behind my dash today....the grey plug into the headlight switch was loose/practically unconnected, plugged it in and problem solved! It always seems to be the easiest things...Mods go ahead and close this thread
