My first truck was a 300, didnt know enough about vehicles to appreciate it though. One of these days I'm going to build a pure trail Bronco with a built 300.

 

Yeah I love the 300 in my 93 f150 my first truck I mean the motor has been hydrolocked once so I rebuilt it and its still running strong. I do like it in the bronco with the granny gear. Stock with only 31s I gave made it thru places some big trucks go. Just throw it in low and give it.

Now with the 6in lift I'm installing it and the front sits about 2-3in higher than the rear, will this go go down after driving it a little? It does look sweet tho besides the don't being higher

 

No clue, what brand lift? is it 6'' springs in the rear, 6'' in the front?

I put 6'' springs in my rear, with the stock angle block it was sitting a good 3+ inches higher than my 5.5'' Deaver springs in the front.. I couldn't stand it and repacked my rear springs to bring it more in line with the front (and to soften the springs up)
also eventually going to replace the stock block with just an angled shim to drop it another inch or so, and give me enough room to add another leaf if I need to, to combat wheel wrap.

 

Well rough country lift. The front sits 2in higher than the rear. But when I drive it my front tires are riding on the sidewall its that bad of an angle. But when I back up the the top of the tires angle in and looks level. I'm going to do ball joints in a couple weeks and maybe the stearing swap to the top of the mounting hole. I'm thinking their is soo much stress with the stearing that if I swap I it will lower the front. When I drove it every bump I hit or I couldnt go over 35 that the truck swayed side to side sometimes bad

 

my bronco has the 302 and its at 207,400 without and overhaul ever. still running strong with no problems

 

When you make it to 250K let us know. Typical 300 might need valve work on the exhaust side by the time you get to 300K.

 

The first truck I ever owned had a 300, and the engine was tough as nails.

The truck I got after that was an EFI 302, when it was brand new it worked great with stock tires.

35 inch tires sure made life hard on that engine.

Now I have a Bronco with a newly replaced 351 and I seem to always
have the need to hear it sing!

As for the lift, although I have not tackled my lift yet, if going with a 6 inch,
consider doing an SAS.

IF you do use a TTB aftermarkert kit, please do your self a favor and get extended radius arms.

 

I love the 300.. I have a newer one out of a 95 f150.. and older one sitting in a rat rod.. good motors man.. as for my 351's .. one has184k and 150k

 

Hmm seems like I have that same problem haha, nothing like flooring it to 4k rpms and listening to it purrr well more like scream lol
