F250 Interior Questions

Hey Guys,

As winter is right around the corner I have moved fixing the floor board of my Ol' F250 up, the truck has about a 3 inch rust hole on the drivers floor board and a 2x3 inch hole under the seat ( thats where my pliers went......) this weekend I will be pulling the seat out of the truck, removing the vinyl floor material and patching those holes, its after the patching is done that I need some opinions, instead of putting the torn up vinyl back in the truck I am considering either using a good truck bed liner on the floor but however I also found some nifty Mossy Oak camo outdoor carpet at Wal-Mart for 10 bucks a roll, would I be better off just using the bed coating or laying down some sound deadning mat and then applying carpet?

depends on what you use it for...

I like the rubber floor in mine b/c I constantly have muddy boots. That being said carpet and a sound deadening material will keep the cab warmer and quieter but will also hold moisture to teh metal floor... your call

Agreed......Best of everthang....lol

*Note*

Clean the underside of the floorboards, about 5" or so from the welded areas......

Then use a propane torch to rid it of ANY moisture (Trick I learned from an oldtimer when putting gutters together...)

And THEN apply some bedliner immediately after its cooled a tad....(The heat will help cure the liner, since its UNDER the truck, outta the sunlight...)

And VOILA! No more rust issue, and you've eliminated it from getting a chance to come back......
