Very nice. Always like the "fat" off road tire look vs the bling 22's.

Ya know, I begin to think that I'll be ok with a 150 when I end up getting a new truck in a few years, then I see a truck like yours. Very nicely done. Looks great.

I saw you post above that you were looking for some. I wouldn't trust anything other than the Ford parts for the base of the lights. I installed mine about a year ago and have had no problems with them. You can find a kit from Ford dealers on eBay with everything you need. Then you can change out the lenses and bulbs to whatever you like.
IM looking for the cab light kit, and it's good to hear they hold up well. And I agree with you Joey, I've read lots of reviews from tons of different brands and most the time I hear bad things! I'll have to check eBay because I am having no luck on Craigslist.

Toyo makes a 315/70/18 tire which they say is 36x13. I might try to fit those on when I am ready. It says they can be mounted on an 8" wheel which is what mine are. For some reason their 35x12.5 tires spec an 8.5" minimum wheel. I don't understand how that works but I'll have to look into it some more.

Ok, they do look good! I was just curious. I think you should be fine mounting those 35x12.5's on those. I know people have done it before. And I know people have mounted similarly sized 315/75/16's on the old stock 16x7 wheels and have been fine. Might not be the best setup but it works. So on your 8" wheels I wouldn't worry about it. Don't take my word 100%, but I'm just saying that its been done before.

jlmotox, love the truck man, looks awesome! Love that wheel and tire combo too, what are the specs on it?

I like both looks. The big wheel look, looks alright on some trucks, I prefer more tire though or at least a good ratio of wheel to tire. I'm fine with bigger wheels as long as they've got a big enough tire wrapped around them. The combo's I like are 18/35 20/37 or 38 and 22/40.

Yeah I just have the Recon lens kit on mine. My truck came with cab lights from the factory. Like I said they're holding up well though. I know people have used the Recon full cab light kit, but like Joey said your safest bet is probably a kit from Ford. And then get Recon lens if you want clear or smoked ones.

UTlonghorns, truck looks great man. Love those throttles! What are the specs on your wheel and tire setup? Looks good and has a nice stance.

Both of those are in my plans I started to try a color matched set but I broke the lens pulling them apart so I might just pay someone else to do it lol and tints are coming this month only other plans are a small leveling kit black rims and 35's

Thanks man! The wheels are 18x10 with a -12 offset. Tires are 325/60r18 not to terra grappler g2s. And the truck has a leveling kit from zone off-road on it. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Awesome man! That's gonna look great when its all done! Rims and 35's should look good. Can't wait to see it once you get it done!

Damn that looks good. That's exactly what I was planning to do to mine this summer or the next. Except for a 4" lift, same wheels but in chrome and -24 offset, and 325/65's, just a taller tire. But just recently decided to hold off and not do it. There's other things that I need to do to the truck first, and I've got bigger plans for the future. But now seeing your truck makes me want to go for it.... Oh well just need to fight the urge and stay strong, lol. Don't really need new tires and money could be better spent elsewhere.

I look at my heat gun in the garage and think about taking them off and cleaning it up every time I wash it. My girlfriend says she likes them but once I convince myself I'm sure I can convince her it will look better.

Thanks! F-150s are great, but it's just not the same as driving down the road in a Super Duty!

I really like those lights! Did you crack your factory lights or had you bought an extra set? Also, how did you get the color match to paint them? I'm tempted to buy an extra set and paint mine.

You'll find some on ebay. Install the Ford kit with the factory amber lenses, then change the lenses to whatever color you want. That way you know the base will be good and won't cause any leaks. A lot of the kits also come with a new harness to make connecting the lights a whole lot easier.

There's no chance I would have attempted to install my cab lights without this thread:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ts-thread.html

Bruce deserves all the credit for taking the time to describe every step along the way with pictures. I would never have the patience to take pictures while I'm in the middle of an install like that and there's 15 holes in the roof of my brand new truck!

On the job. It's hard to keep clean.

This truck was absolutely bone stock when I got it. Come a long ways and I see alot of others who've done quite the same. It's exciting to say the least every time I turn the key on.
