Sorry to hear about how the truck was neglected. I wasn't necessarily looking for my short bed dually either but the price was right and was what I was looking for (newer and low miles). I do miss the long bed I had with my 250 but I enjoy the truck otherwise.

Thanks... 1st owner seemed to take care of it as I have the maintenance records from when they had it.. but when the 2nd owner got hold of the truck it just vanished from the face of the earth it seems.. During the buying i noticed the rear was leaking at the pinion seal and the drop links were worn out, and valve cover gasket leaking.. figured "hey this isnt too bad".. had new tires on it.. didnt notice the box was warped as it was by a drop in liner.. (plan to fix it) and when they pried the bed off the cab they busted a seam weld there..so when it rains it gets inside the truck too back there.
Had the axle fluids changed right after i got it as they looked like chocolate milk... then 2 months after the rear axle detonated.. 11.25" ring and pinion beat the heck out of each other and then the parts from it destroyed the parts inside the carrier.. was glad we got the warranty for it ad that would have been $3000 to fix... found the air cleaner looked as if it had never been changed. had the tranny flushed as it looked rusty brown color. changed out the transfer case oil. new center driveshaft bearing, pretty much whole new brake system. rebuilt the locking hubs, had to get a new HFCM plate because someone JB welded a plug into it. (ty 2nd owner).. done some of the 6.0 factory upgrades. rebuilt the turbo in June. just before i had to rebuild the turbo i found out i had 3 dead injectors.. ripped out about 4 different wire harnesses that went to NOTHING!! (one was satellite radio harness).. ect ect.. if its not been one thing its been another.. ill be glad when its all fixed up and happy again. think the 2nd owner was dipping the truck into salt water to launch a boat or something.
psst... your truck got some brown stuff on it... pretty truck still...
Well it is Southern California and it was almost 60º when I took the picture. Lots of mud but there's still a pretty good amount of snow on the ground.
