White pickups do scream fleet work truck, but usually only in the clearly base model trim. Blacked out looks silly to me, but I like chrome. Tic, how do you get a black truck to hide dirt?! They look good as soon as you wash me, but it never lasts long around here anyway.
Dark mud or clay is more noticeable on a white than a black truck. Same can be said about polished aluminium or chrome rims over black rims.
Have you seen the black colour on the 2014 250s. It has a speck in the black. Sure shines well in the sun.
I personally love white trucks because any color goes with white. I have always liked white.
Now the next color I like would be Black. A nice black truck with some chrome in it is always nice.
The only SD I have ever seen that I think went overboard on chrome and isn't that much of it on it is a 2011+ platinum 6.7L diesel crew cab with chrome door handles chrome trim at that bottom rockers, chrome running boards, chrome trim on the doors around the windows, chrome brush guard, and probably more I can't think of. It is the red platinum too so it really looks off.

Umm ok, i used to wash my old blue truck like every other week because it showed dirt so bad. I never have to wash my white truck because you can never tell its dirty...

Afc, is your truck rusty? Did you buy it as a used fleet truck at an auction? Or at a dealership cheaper cause that dealership had too many fleet trucks.

Ya I like white just a bit. Trucks in pics include 89 F250, 02 F250, 88 F150, and 94 Explorer. Also no idea how all the trucks ended up getting a white and black with chrome scheme I really didn't do that on purpose. LOL
