You cant trade wheels with your pops, the 99-04 16's wont fit on the newer trucks due to the larger brakes so he will need to find some OEM take offs on ebay or craigs list.

Good lookin trucks though.

That jus busted my bubble lol, we have the factory 5 spoke steel wheels with no tires that originally came on his truck

 

So your 1/2 way there just need a good set of tires.

 

Exactly lol, have to ser if he will go for that idea for sure, cause I think some black fender flares and his wheels would look good on my truck

Looks great. You don't see a lot of regular cabs around anymore. How does it do pushing the snow?

 

When I lock the hubs, put it in 4x4 with the e-diff on it has sooooo much grip.
I thought the TCS was going to ruin things but it only makes them better. While in 4wd, I can come to a complete stop on a really steep hill and then go forward with very little wheel spin (and thats with my 8ft Fisher HD on the front and no weight in the back).

When a tire does spin, it seems to do about one single rotation before the TCS does its magic and puts power to the wheels with grip. I practiced pushing snow in 2wd and on flat surfaces it gets the job done, it just does it easier when in 4x4 mode. When I'm running from plow site to plow site I found that the TCS does a great job when in 2wd and I don't need to use the 4wd.

I have great visability with a reg cab and since its also my landscaping truck I needed a 8ft bed. I thought an extended cab with an 8ft bed would be too long to plow driveways with so thats why I ended up with the reg cab. I am very happy with the way it performs.

 

Yes the bumper and Grille is off an 2005 XL truck. The headlights were the only thing not changed. I like the look of the 2005 style and the last owner did the whole face lift when he accidently put a crack and ding in the bumper and grille so he replaced them and the 2005 was cheaper.

i would love to do the 05 facelift, but im cheap/broke lol but i have been looking for a rear wrecked 05-07 to get parts off of cheap at local salvage yards

 

Oh ya the 05 loo is so much better. Especially since it is a white and black truck with crew cab I think the 2002 grille and bumper would look a bit wierd.
