Cowboy,
Truck looks great & welcome to FTE
I must say, I hate yellow Lenses but for some reason they work well on your color combo. Also the updated color matched Mirrors & Buckmark, plus the black accessories of course....Really like your Truck man
Yeah, I never was a fan of the old school Amber parking lamps either but they do somehow work with he rest of the truck. Thanks for all the compliments. Bought the truck from a rancher with 74k on it four years ago. About to turn 100k in 20 miles. It takes up all my free time and money Hopefully in the next few months it'll have new sticks and gtp38r.....or t4

Jim that was 5 passes thru a mud pit that is 100 yards long. Those fender flares do a good job of keeping mud off the truck lol. Too good of job for that matter.

Now that you know what the outside looks like, you have to have a quick peek at the cockpit...

I had it all fixed up the next week. I found a laundry list of problems in the initial teardown, but since I had only owned the truck for about a month at that point, I now know everything is good.

I replaced the following almost exactly two months after the initial purchase from the Ford dealer;

STC fitting
IPR valve (damaged seat)
ICP sensor and pigtail(reading incorrectly)
Oil cooler (clogged)
Coolant changed to ELC
Coolant filter
EGR cooler changed to newer "tube" style
EGR valve (bad motor)
Rebuilt the turbo
Cleaned and lubricated the VGT vanes and unison ring
Fan clutch
CAC boots
CAC (ruptured at end cap due to overboost)
Fuel filters (had moss growing in the lower unit)
Oil changed to T6 5w40 (dealer had 15w40 in it)
Front brakes/calipers/brackets (cracked pistons and damaged slide pins from a botched brake job)
Rear brakes/brackets (stuck slide pins and worn out pads)
Trans fluid change and new filters
Water pump
Thermostat
Accessory drive belt
Alternator
+ battery cable
Batteries
Brake fluid flush
Power steering fluid flush
Front tires

I'm towing the trailer to Burlington, VT for the 4th with the fam. I'm confident it will do well now.

I'll be able to monitor everything better now since I've replaced the SGII with

Thor,
try a Dremel tool w/cutting wheel on the dash kit...Just go slow and obviously keep a steady hand !!

Cut out less than you need and slowly remove the rest with a file..

That is quite the list for 2 months after the dealer... I am guessing you didn't have any sort of warranty through them then.... I'd be pretty upset if 2 months after I bought the truck (even used) I had to do that extent of repairs...

That's a 6.0 though. Tons of maintenance and upgrades to make them reliable. Not that they aren't but the emissions equipment doesn't help.

Ughhh.... lol. I suppose I'll stick with my 5.4L until I actually have to tow something heavy.

A buddy of mine just bought a 2007 F350 SRW, one of the special editions, with the 6.0 in it. Drove from the lot to Snyder Performance Engineering, which is a guy who we went to high school with's shop, and immediately put like $7k in the motor to bullet proof and then upgrade it. He never said what exactly he did to it, but it threw me into the passenger seat like we were in a Mustang GT. I could not believe how much go a 7000lb truck could have...
