Empty it was pulling me down to about 9-10mpg from my usual 11-12 on the highway. Lots of high RPM and 4th gear at 65mph to keep it moving on even small hills. Not sure what I was thinking when I ordered the truck with 3:73s. Might have to look into a set of 4:30s some day.
The trailer looked great before but does look better matching the truck
BTW...my old SD which was a V10 pulled the same way w/3.73's also,
but then my current truck has 3.73's w/NO issues towing. Oh yeah this one's a DIESEL
Sorry man had too
LOL, good one!
For the few times I do actually tow a Diesel would be a waste to me. The only reason I bought an enclosed trailer was because I needed a place to both haul and store 3 ATVs.
I would love to have a diesel but that $9k price tag when I ordered the truck pretty much made my mind up. At the time the diesel was out of my price range. If I were to be ordering the truck today I would be getting the diesel for sure.

Painted the new trailer over the weekend to match my truck. No more shiny stuff.
Also loaded the 4 wheelers in the back for the first time tonight and the truck rides much smoother with 6k+ behind it. Can definitely tell it's there. Will probably pull it on the highway this weekend loaded for the first time so see how it does cruising.
