Yep I hear ya there Trav. I do most of the work right in my driveway, but there have been a few occasions when I just took her in. I have a good guy that I take my truck too if I don't want to mess with it or if I'm lazy He does good work, his prices are decent, and his shop is always full. All of his tow trucks are Fords too

Ya there is a new shop that opened we probably are going to take my 88 F150 there if it doesn't start getting fuel. He sounds like a good mechanic dennis.
Hey Gigger have you heard of the 2013 Ford F350 Platinum coming out later this year. I really like the look of that truck. Wierd I usually don't like the look of those year styles but this one I do with what they did to the grill you should see it.

Hey Trav
have you done some tests to see if it it spark or if its fuel ?
If it IS fuel did you do a code scan on it yet ?
not much involved with fuel system, make sure you have the presure
easy way to make sure your getting fuel is to disconnect the fuel return line from the fuel rail/ presure regulator, (is this a carb or EFI ?)

those older trucks dont all have shroader or shaider or whatever valves so its hard to do a presure test, thats why I said to cut into the rubber fuel return line and hook up yout guage to it, you can borrow the guage etc. from autozone,
one thing to keep in mind is some times the ECM will go out and you will not even get code reading so... just keep it in the back of your mind, it dont happen often BUT it DOES happen.

Ya I am just going off of how its acting. I don't pull the codes until I am completely stumped. Like my username says Redneck. I am so old fasioned when it comes to fixing trucks. So far I ain't pulled one code on any truck to get running again. I just keep trying. I keep a service record of all the trucks so when I do replace something I know I did then I delete that off my list.
