Towing Lights Wiring Harness

Ok so my sons freaking dog chewed up the wires between the truck harness and the 7 pin plug for the trailer lights on my F-250. I looked everywhere to find a new harness so that I would not have to cut any wires. I found every make and model except Ford F250. Turns out the only place you can get this harness with the plugs is the stealership and then you have to buy the whole kit wiring harness and new 7 pin adapter and mount. It is about 180.00 bucks. I really dont want to cut the plug off and splice wires but to save 200 bucks I am seriously considering it. So I was wondering if anyone here has this harness or knows where I might can find a used one. Also now my ABS light is on. I dont know if the ABS light has anything to do with this but the brakes seem to be working fine. I am trying to download a couple of pics of the harness and I cant figure out how to do this either if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

No that part says it is for a truck with stock factory 4 pole harness only and will not work for factory 7 pole harness. my truck has the factory 7 pole harness. Thanks for looking though. Can any one tell me how to upload a pic to this post?

In the first link it says near the bottom that F250s & F350s are to use a different number for the 7 pole harness.

CJ,
What year model is your harness for? According to everything I have seen from 98 to 01 are the same but they will not work on a 2002. I just want to make sure its the same thing before I buy one.

I'm not sure which year it's from but it's the same as my 2000. I know it's older because the part # starts F6TB..... Sorry bud I thought they were all the same

Big Texan,

Thanks for trying but my truck is an 02 with factory OEM 7 pin wiring. The part that you had the link for is a Replacement OEM Tow Package 7-Way Wiring Harness for 99-01 SuperDuty Trucks with OEM 4-Flat Connector. The part I need looks exactly like the one that is in that link but it must be wired different. I am going to try an upload a pic by using the instructions that you have givin me. Thanks for all of the effort in helping me solve this problem.

Ok I think I can post a pic now. In the photo you can see the harness and the 7 pin receiver that goes on the back of the truck. I need the harness for a 2002 F250 as I said before it looks just like the earlier years but it must be wired different. I know the 2002 is different than the earlier years because the 2002 does not have the fuses under the hood for the towing lights etc. they are located under the dash.

2002 f350 SD crew cab factory light harness

I have the same problem trying to locate an aftermarket harness. All the parts sites seem to think my truck has a 4 wire plug. The one that is shown for a 2001 f350 has the right physical properties but is wired wrong, I tried one from a salvage yard. I have a few other salvage yards to check but I may have find one with terminals on the 7 way plug that can be rearranged and try to make it match up. I would welcome any ideas you come up with.
