2wd should be able to becuase your level kit 4wd might need a 4" lift.
305/70/16 ARE APX 32.8" TALL X 12" WIDE
so only apx 1.5" diffrence on clearance from side to side and .5" wider
looking at the Military Tires ?
36x12.5x16 - Bias ( not so good )
37x12.5x17 - Radial ( heavy hard time to get balanced )

I have early 99 and have 315/75/16 toyo mt (35's) and they only rub plastic inner fender slightly the rims are 16x8 with -11 backspacing I think I'll check later to confirm cut out fenders (bushwacker) will dramatically open up wheel wells you could put 37's on thinking about that myself later on bringing the nose up 3" and running 38/15.5 on 12" wide wheels

Yes is stock had to pull back inner plastic fenders used zip ties I think my front might be spaced out a lil bit not sure as it was like that when I got it (5 years ago) . Had 285/75/16 on earlier they rubbed liner but not after pulling it back 35's rub just slightly I could probaly pull it back more but its barely noticeable the back has the f350 set up from factory I could put 37's on there and they would fit and have room for uptravel on the front the 37's fit in the wheel wells but I didn't try turning them
My front sits 3" lower than back due to f350 set up also meant the front bumper might be spaced a lil bit

You could use a lil longer shackles on front 1-2" for a bit more clearance but really I would think the leveling you already have would be enough to fit 35's. Difference of 1/2" from 36 to 35 isn't worth the hassle of further suspension mods also a 36/12.5 will appear narrower than a 35/12.5 and not give a truck the beefed up 4x4 look I suspect you are after. Also consider the tire as well check for the specs to see how tall it really measures some brands really are off example being tire says its 315/75/16 you would assume its 35"s but it might be 34 1/2" the toyo's I have are right at 35" just a hair short was worried they wouldn't fit when I first saw them but they do...if I can figure out how to post pics I will
