Seat swap in '92 F150

Hey guys. I have been using info from the forum for sometime now. After adding a factory tach to my truck with direction from this forum I decided I needed to go ahead and sign up. Man the tach swap so simple I could have had my 6 y/o do it for. Thanks for the info.

Background: 1992 F150 XLT, Supercab, Bucket seats, 2wd, 5.8L, auto.

Question is: I found some seats from a '92 Lightning and was wondering will those bolt right into my truck? The Lightning seats look like they are bolted to a frame/riser then bolted to the floor. My factory buckets bolt straight to the floor. I am going to assume I would need to get the riser from the lightning.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Ford never made a Lightning in 1992. They were made from 1993 to 1995. In any case it would much easier to use the riser with the Lightning bucket seats. Without it the seats would sit pretty low in the cab.

Maybe it was a '93. But they will bolt right up? What would be a good price them, in good shape.

Those Lightning seats do not come cheap unless the seller does not what they are. I have seen "L" seats and riser go for a couple hundred $$ more than a few times.

I have owned 2 different '93 L's in the past. Anything associated with them tends to raise the market value.
