Haynes Manual; not good!

I've found errors in the schematics, procedures that skipped steps and required me to back track, and low quality pictures that add more confusion than clarity.

The Haynes manual for a friends '93 BMW 318i has errors too. The Bentley manual for that vehicle does not, that I find anyhow. I use a Bentley manual for my '92 VW G60, it is in fact the only one for consumers and is rumored to be the one VW provided shops with. The Chilton for the BMW is not great, but seems more lacking than incorrect. So for euro cars I'm going to use a Bentley.

I'm looking at the ALLDATA and Ford subscription based manuals. ALLDATA costs a 1/4 what the Ford does and offers discounts on adding vehicles, and these can be from other manufacturers than the first vehicle.

I'm going on the road soon and can not take a chance with this Haynes manual, it let me down too much. Some times I go to very remote areas and need to be able to 'rescue' myself from all anticipated peril; that includes mechanical breakdown.

Any experience that leads to a preference in manuals?

The diagrams in the Haynes manual and the on line ALLDATA manual are opposite of each other in identifying the computer sensor and the gauge sender for coolant temperature.
