Moe, I plan on redoing the interior and gauges back to original. I have a set of the original wheels to put on after I buy new tires. I also have a 3.73 rear axle to put in, do the brakes and alignment and be good to go. Wife wants me to paint it, but then you have to worry about every little nick and scratch. I have been to many car shows and being a former body tech/shop manager, I notice every little flaw in most car and trucks at shows. I won't drive every day but to shows and maybe for ice cream(when it is warm in Michigan), or just for a Sunday drive.
That sounds great... With a great buff and wax I think that paint will shine right up... The way it looks I wouldn't repaint it at this time. from what it sounds like I think it's a great plan...
The piece on the column is the turn signal switch, which I plan to replace with one more original. As for the paint, there is some very minor rust starting and the roof is peeling from a prior repair but I will spot in.
Dan I have to agree... great looking 3/4 ton truck and very solid. Alot of those trucks were beat up pretty good in their working lives. I was very happy to find a solid 48 F3... fell in love right away and quickly sold my 51 Chevy to buy it! Sounds like you've got good plans for your truck. Where are you located in case some of us want to meet you for ice cream?
