203 to 205

My project is finally starting to get somewhere. Well...I'm not sure where, but somewhere. Its been together and in pieces several time deciding wherer I wanna go with it. Its time to address my soggy tranny situation. While doing this I decided to chuck the boat anchor of a 203 out for the more appropriate 205. I do have a few questions though. What all mounts do I need to change? I know the 205 has a side mount that bolts to the frame but what else has to change?

Right on.. I might do the twin stick later on.. that is about it.. you bolt the 205 to the cross-member..no drilling needed.

Is your truck an F150 or F250, and if it's an F250 is it a hiboy or not? And is it manual or auto? I don't think you clarified. I've not done the swap, but you should at least check into it if you have a half ton or a loboy. I think the transition housing and output shaft of the trans are different lengths between the two transfer cases. I thought there was a thread about this in the last week or so. Do a search.

Its a 150 with a c6. I did some searching but didn't find everything. Some say the crossmembers the same and some say its different. And the long or shory adapter issue

Everything is bolt on, but you will need different length drive shafts.

Check out my page. I took the divorced 203 out of my 74 highboy and put a divorced 205 in its place. Simple bolt up.
