I just got a 2011 F250 Lariat FX4 crewcab with 98,000 km on thursday and noticed this weekend when I start it warm it has a rattle that sounds like lifters and it is very loud. Taking it in on Monday or tues as the Escape is going in Monday for the heated seats blowing the 20A fuse.
I have a 2012 Harley f150 an I have been having problems wit it since the first 500 miles it has a loud clicking sound when start up an has turned off on me while driving then the low oil light comes on an I have tooken it to ford several times an they say it fine the truck Onlyhas 3300 miles on it now is any one having the same issues
4000 miles and no issues. Hot Shot rig so it gets worked. just put new oil. Mobil 1 extended performance full synthetic. Motor seems to like it. I put a lot of miles so I will keep yall informed of any problems. So far the 6.2 is Super! And I love the 6 speed tranny.
I just purchased 2012 6.2 on the fact I havent heard bad things about this engine. I havent even picked it up from the dealership yet. I hope I didnt make a mistake....

Well anything can happen of course...but hopefully we all made the right decision with the '11 and '12 6.2L.
When you take delivery...start a new thread...and post up some pics! We FTE folk love pics!
You bet! Ilove to post pictures and love to look at other peoples trucks. I'll b I'll be posting. I'll pro I'll probably post before I get home my pretty silver shiny baby.
I'm nervous now after reading about these engine failures. Just bought a 2012 f-250 super. at about 200 miles i started to notice a tick from under the hood. sounded like the left side, but after lifting the hood, I couldn't tell where it was coming from. Been using E85 for about 2 tanks now. Called the dealer and talked to the head mech. He said the E85 wouldn't make it tick like that and I should bring it in for a listen.Hopefuly it's something they can tweek with out tearing the whole thing apart. And I gave up my Chevy for this??
I'm at just over 500 miles on mine, and have a ticking. sounds like the type you get when ya got a stuck valve of lifter. Hope it's an easy fix. Good luck
Hmmmm maybe I should get AAA before I pickup my new truck and start driving 1500 miles to get home. That is a darn shame I should have to say that after paying $$$$ good hard money for it.
Mine has ticked ever since I got it, have 18,500 mile now. I did use 1/4 quart of Lucas 2 oil changes ago and it stopped the tick. I normally only here it at start up but have other times too. Will use the Lucas again next oil change and I am going to send a sample of my oil to Blackstone to see how everything is going. Next oil change is at 20,000 miles, so about another month and a half.

With respect, I think you are overreacting to a problem that doesn't exist! (And underestimating Ford's Roadside Assistance)
Didnt know about the Ford Roadside Assitance. I havent sat down with the dealer yet. Overracting yes you may be right about that but Im a woman Im allowed (-: Oh and its not 1500 miles its over 2400 miles by the time Im done driving.

Like I said earlier - I punish mine although I take care of it - almost 50k and no problems. Drive it be confident - don't worry.
