Switching form Gold to ELC, risk to oil cooler?
Recently installed a new oil cooler and BPD EGR cooler in my 2005 F-250. Used the Ford Premium Gold after the upgrade and EOT is back in the 195 range. After more exhaustive reading, I'd like to switch to ELC coolant, but don't want to risk my new oil cooler by flushing.
How would I go about switching coolant and minimizing the risk of stirring up garbage and clogging the new oil cooler? Should I wait until the next flush interval to do this? I am currently running a coolant filter.

Flush it with straight water several times then flush it with 12-16 gallons of distilled water AFTER the water runs clear. Also, if you are concerned about trash in your oil cooler then follow the reverse flush method posted by nylyon. It involves hooking a connection up between the oil cooler and EGR cooler but you don't have to worry about your cooler plugging again.

Still trying to locate concentrated ELC, not as easy to find as I thought it would be.

Dexcool is ****e!!!!!!!!
DO NOT use Dexcool. Do a google search for dex cool class action suits. It attacks gaskets and many plastic parts, such as most gm intakes. JMHO
