hey ive got and ol 91 f150 inline 6, 5 speed, and the truck starts and idles perfect as always, it sat for a winter without being ran and now for some reason if you touch the gas it studders and coughs and trys to stall and you have to feather it to keep er going, once you are crusing it runs perfect. only when your moving the pedal off and on the motor studders and coughs like while youre shifting and when youre trying to accellerate after releasing the clutch, even if you floor it it just studders. ive replaced the distributer, plugs and wires and the throttle sensor with no luck, any suggestions?

 

change the fuel filter, and put some fresh gas in it.

Yes it worked perfect oclyf . I also cleaned the intake and EGR connections. The five speed is great, BUT keep in mind it is EXTREMELY high geared, especially compared to the four speed lol sorry about the belated response I just saw this didn't send. Thanks

 

Also try reading the codes, i had this happen to my bronco, bad, it turned out being water in my tank , Idled crappy and had hesitation TR
