before i rip this tank out...

my rear gas tank is leaking pretty bad. also, the gas from my front tank leaks into my back tank while im driving. i have come to the conclusion that i need a new rear tank and fuel pump. will this tank setup work?

More Information for SPECTRA PREMIUM F1G1FA

it seems to have everything i will need. anything i should lookout for when i do this? will i need those weird plastic things to remove fuel lines?

front pump leaks to back pump, so the back pump check valve is bad

i need the pump because the check valve in my current pump is bad, thus allowing gas from my front tank to leak into my back tank. i have two problems and i was wondering if the kit in my previous post would work with my truck without any problems. my apologies for the confusion.

Sounds like it should cure both of your problems... My only concern is just double check the listing to make sure it fits your truck.. Good luck......

ah ok, yea if the check valve is bad that should help resolve the issue, also when you got the tank dropped i would suggest doing any other work that you can if possible

That's a good price for tank, pump, sender & straps.

Also eliminates the issue of putting the pump into the tank, THEN having a leaking tank....

Mine leaked like a ****....Changed the side tank out with the one from my 1994 truck....Same persistant leak....On the main bottom of the O-Hole where the pump rests....Now I honestly believe its the pump....

The tank that was on previously was toast....The metal tabs/ears were all FUBAR'ed....You could literally twist the sending unit around ***** nilly....

Now its nice and firm...No movemement....Just a small leak....

the pump is a 'Zone one.....So I'm thinking the mounting plate has a SLIGHT bend/crease in it...Allowing gas to still come out..

Wes, you need to put a little grease on the oring so it don't move when you set the pump down.

OP, yes, that is the one you need. I just installed the same PN in my '95. FYI, they include the straps that go underneath the tank, but not the uppers. Also, even though it is "corrosion resistant", I'd recommend degreasing it, then shooting some undercoating on it.

I did Charlie...I put a tiny amount on it so that the O gasket wouldn't crumple up....
