I have a 1.9 motor and i put a turbo on it. the motor has diamond pistons and crowder rod its all build to hold over 20 lb of boost it has a MSD boxs, crank trigger, innercooler and a FAST computer. the motors has been tuned on a dyno and has been running great until now
the problem
when reving up the motor when it hits 5000 RPMS it drops the RPMS back down to about 3000 even when floored.. I replaced the crank trigger sencer and the TPS what esle could it be ??
Does that MSD box have a rev limiter built in? Kinda sounds like it's hitting the rev limiter...

Ya it does I put a new chip in it and still the samething it really doesn't drop like a rev limiter its like it just looses spark or gas u think it could be a bad msd
I suppose that's possible. Never run an MSD so I'm not very familiar with them...does it have a way to bypass it so you can run without it if it takes a dump on you?

which MSD box are you using? the sport compact? if its the one with selectable cylinder (4,6,8) check your switch. if your using more than one box thats no bueno... if it has anything to do with the MSD its usually the CPS thats playing with it.. have you tried the troubleshooter for the MSD?
