What's up with the STP ad?

Doesn't this site have enough ads, why do we need them posting in the board? Is this a start of a new trend, will there be multiple ads posted directly in the board? Is this ad viewed by paying members? If it is I'd be ticked if I was a paying supporter of the site. You're not suppose to get ads if you're a paying member.

See no STP here either. Maybe you scared it away.

Oh boy, now I'm imagining things.

Honestly, when I logged onto the board there was an STP ad that appeared between the "Read First" post and the very first legitimate post. It didn't show up imediatly, maybe a second after the page was regenerated. Maybe the admins were testing to see if anyone complained.

When I saw the ad it was nestled into the board, making it look like a legitimate post, kind of a sneaky approach IMO. There's enough ads on this site, they don't need to start inserting in the board. I don't mind the ads that run on the sides, I'm not a paid supporter and don't plan to become one any time soon. I just think if they start inserting them in the board maybe the paying supporters will get nailed with them.

I saw it too Bob, Not to worry

Anyone that signs up as a "sponsor" has the ability to post adds in the Forums - It's kind of like a Government Ponsi scheme thingie.

I didn't think it was nearly as bad as the typical ads that take up space. I actually wanted to click on it to see what it was about, but the usual need to click once, wait for it, click again... by then I was distracted...

I have seen it too on occasions.
I'm not a paying member so I try not to complain about anything.
I started to laugh when I started reading this. It instantly reminded me of "THE" thread.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's best to keep it that way.

No offence to anyone intended but If I remember correctly this is the kind of stuff that really irritated Julie's cool and lead to herhim getting the boots offa here. I thought all that was kinda funny

Epp, this isn't old news, it's a kind of ad I've never seen on FTE before. I think the ads Julie got upset about were the pop ups you'd get when you rolled your cursor over a highlighted word in a post. Those are irritating too. The thing that gets me about these new ads is it makes it looks like a member has posted something and your normal inclination is to click on it. It's like those bogus radio and TV infomercials that pose as a talk show but only hawk there junk. I understand the ads on the side and top for the non-paying members, they don't bother me. I just think this new form of ad is sneaky. FTE is one of the heaviest ad laden sites I go to and also one of the few that have a paid membership. And they seem to have the most problems. If they want to flag me for bringing up something that irritates me let them.

I'm not crazy, when I logged on tonight on my home computer the ad was there:

Here's the ad when you click on the link:

I saw a double post of the it and was wondering if STP got back together? Did they break up to begin with? Are they concentrated because they gained weight instead of long beards? Do I care? No! Should I pay to be a member and join the elite? Maybe.

"Tee Hee" Julie complained about this...guess what happened to him?

Become a supporter, then you won't see STP aka "Studebaker Tickled Pink" aka "Super Tiger ****" ads, mutilple ads, pop up ads, or otherwise. The pages will look completely different.

Besides FTE, Internet Brands owns over 100 diverse websites, all the ads run on these sites, pay for the free info you're getting.
