Scanguage II Indicated HP

New Scanguage user here. I noticed the HP guage, and it will show as much as 350 HP on mine. The engine is only rated for 310 or so. How does the computer figure it?

I never tried the HP but did try TQ setting, didn't get a reading.
SG is supposed to calculate HP at the crank without any accessories or other things robbing the power. so maybe a 310BHP motor would pull 350 with nothing else on it. SG says the reading will be 15-20% higher than HP at the wheels.
