My Deepest Thanks and appreciation.

I have to let everyone know about the outstanding efforts of one of our members. I have gotten parts from 77&79F250 "Rich" before and I knew he was a nice guy, but I had no idea just how far he would go to help someone. I am out of town on business, stuck in a hotel room when my son needed the bracket that his front caliper bolts to on the spindle of his 79 F250. It was worn/chiped or distorted, after trying a new loaded caliper, he still couldn't keep the passenger side front caliper locked into place properly and I am 6.5 hours from home, and the JY pickins in my area have dried up. I contacted Rich on the news group and he responded asap, as usual. I thought that I may be able to meet him in person, since I was in MO. also, but it turned out that we were 3 hours apart from each other. After determerning the bracket that I needed, Rich went to the junk yard, pulled the part and put it in the mail to my son in a time span of about 2 hours! and wouldn't take any money from me until I was sure the part worked! I thought WHO does this kind of thing for someone they barely know now days??? Well, I just had to let everyone know that Rich does! I know that there are many more people like Rich that belong to this newsgroup and that is what makes it so great. Again Rich, thank you again for helping me help my son when I couldn't be there. I'm sure he has helped other members also, Please help me give Rich some Reputation points that he greatly deserves.
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff and all....

Just passing it forward in the FTE/Ford truck world, I was very fortunate to be able to get the time to go and get the parts. Its not always always like that, I have been trying to get up there for a few others on here. for some more parts.

Jeff let me know if that was the problem and if Alex's got it up and running and stopping properly. And thanks for the "thanks" to all and the beer toast.

Rich, just wanted to give you an update, the new bracket took care of the problem, The caliper is locked in solid as it should be. I just don't see anything drasticaly bad on the old one, except a little polishing on the top of the bracket where the caliper seats. I haven't be able to compare the brackets, because the truck is back on the road. Thanks again for everything, I'm sending you a PM.
Jeff

Jeff glad the part fixed the problem.

Dense ace, I am sure there are alot more good transaction on here than bad, but just be smart with internet deals. I am just saying, and then again I am the one that covers the part and shipping costs up front.

I have had nothing but great results dealing with ol Ford truck folks on here. Heads up that the Off Road & 4x4 forum well...... you better check you feeling's at the door, kinda a rough crowd IMO.

And if you do not agree with me on that call about that forum, I really do not care to know it! Just saying...overall a great place to get Ford truck help for sure.

Yea but when it comes to getting ol truck parts this is a great place to locate stuff.

Unless a FTE legend "Number Dummy" can locate a new one in some Ford dealership parts dept, which he does VERY often.....

And "mike o0o0o0" can locate them hard to locate parts too.
