A brake line on my '89 F-250 blew out a few days ago and I'm fixing it now. Once I get the new lines installed I will need to bleed the brakes. I have bled brakes before but only on my F-150 which has 4 wheel discs. Where are the bleeders located on the rears drum brakes on the '89? Will I need to remove both back wheels and remove the drums? Or are the bleeders easily accessible?

 

the bleeders are just above where the lines go into the backing plates/wheel cylinders

 

Do I need to pull the drum for access? I did not see the bleeders behind the wheel.

 

if they are broke off, you will need to replace the wheel cylinders, which involves removing the drums and brakes.
