Ranger diesel transmission

I have a 1987 Ford Ranger 4x4. It has the 2.3 litre turbo diesel engine. The transmission in it has gone bad, it only has gears 1,3,5 and Reverse. When it gets hot, all the gears are locked out. I have spent 2 years on and off looking for a transmission for this truck, I have found NOTHING. Nobody knows where to find one or to even find parts for the existing transmission. Does ANYONE, know where i can find a new, rebuilt or used transmission for this truck, or even find repair parts for the existing one. PLEASE HELP!!!
