Well its official. The 302 in my DDs days are numbered. UPS guy stopped by today, and brought me all sorts of kewl stuff!!!





Also picked up a 5.8 intake, but the sucker had a tab broken off the upper I didnt notice. Gotta find a new one of those now... IM SO EXCITED!!!

Looks good....But you need to take that Fram filter, run the truck over it, then throw it as far as you possibly can...

Look up Fram filter cutaway on YouTube....

nothing beats a factory filter!!!! walmart has em cheep too!

I will agree basic fram filters are sub par quality, but i ran these exclusively on my last truck, and at 195k mi i pulled the valve cover and there was NO sludge, grit, grime, coking, anything. It looked brand new under there. Thats enough proof for me. I did some additional research, and the only thing that is unfavorable about the tough guard filter is that it still uses paper endcaps. Under high pressures the run the risk of popping apart and allowing oil to bypass. I cut my filters apart after every oil change, and have NEVER had that happen to me. Other than that its always been rated a quality filter.

I have never put anything else on my 95 460. 185miles and doesn't burn a drop. The rear main seal leaks a little, but have never used anything but the FL-1A and Motorcraft semi synthetic 10-30 oil in it.

I only use napa 1515 gold same thing as wix with semi Syn 10w30 and its still strong

if you used a fl1a you wouldnt have to waste the time cutting it apart cuz you would know it did its job my friend but its your truck
