Parts Needed for 1949 F3

Hi

Just in the process of restoring my truck and I need the following parts:

1) OG Tailgate hinge (the repro one I bought was terrible quality!)

2) Handbrake bracket. This is the bit fixed to the underside of the chassis mid rail and has the y shaped fitting which the cables attach too. I just need the bracket as mine has been cut off.

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Here are some parts that I have from an F2-F3.

Original tailgate chains

Original tailgate hinges. They appear to be slightly different than the hinges for an F1. The mounting holes appear to be set wider apart than on an F1. I tried fitting these hinges to a 48-50 F1 bed, because I need some hinges for the the F1 tailgate, and the holes didn't line up. You likely purchased a set for the F1.

Is this the e-brake cable bracket that you need? This one mounts to a frame crossmember below the bed towards the rear axle.

Or, did you have a transmission mounted e-brake? If so, then you'd have handles like the two on the left in the below picture.

I have other F2-F3 specific parts in case you need something else.

You can PM or email through FTE, or directly at modelking2000 at hotmail dot com.

Thanks Ilya for sorting out these hinge and E brake parts for me.

Does anyone have the following spare parts for sale:

1) Hub for a 7HA water pump on my 226 flathead (the part that the fan pulley mounts too).

2) The weight which goes on the exhaust manifold heat raiser flap spindle.

Thanks
Andrew

I should still have a broken exhaust manifold from a 1952 OHV inline 6 engine that still has the heat riser and the counter weight on the end. However, I'm not sure if the weights are the same as on the earlier models and I'm not at home to check the parts manual.

Here's a picture for reference of what I have.

I've got a whole water pump and pulley assembly you can take apart to use what you need, or maybe use as-is. PM me if you're interested.
