i have a question about my 73 f250s front axle code i have been having a probrlem finding out what gears are in it the code is 24p i have read online that it can be a d60 with 4.10s or a d44 with 4.55s. i went under the truck and identified the front as dana 44 so my qustion is if the axle really does have 4.55 fronts then how does the 4 wheel drive work with a part time transfer case

 

They should be 4.10's unless they were swapped out sometime in the past.

 

thats what im confused about my last 2 highboys had 4.10s front and rear but for some reason this thing comes up as having 4.55s i need to look at the axle id tag but its pouring here so i guess im gonna wait till tommorow
