Tires

I have a 2015 F350 Crewman pickup, 6.2L. Drove a diesel for over 20 years till now. Getting use to the gas somewhat. I do not like the little tires. Would like to put a taller tire on it but not sure if the stock wheel will work. Not sure a what size starts affecting the speedometer accuracy and mileage. Any info is appreciated.

What size tires do you currently have on the truck? That will help us help you figure out what fits. The trucks come with a wide range of tire sizes from ~32" diameter on the 17" wheels to ~34" diameter on the 20" wheels. It seems that moving up to a 34 or 35" tire is very common without other modifications. Also, the dealer should be able to reprogram your speedometer up to a 34" tire size that came stock on some of the trucks.

I ran 295/70/R18's on the stock rim and suspension. It filled out the wheel well perfectly. 2015 F250

Your stock wheel is probably 8 inches wide, no matter the diameter. I know toyo makes the open country at2 in some odd sizes that can get you a tall all-terrain tire on a stock wheel. I was able to get 34" tires on my stock wheels by using a 285/75/17 from toyo and I don't think I have ever seen that size from any other manufacture.

My current tires are LT275-65R-18. Is CA dealer the only one that can recalibrate my speedometer? Will the bigger tires affect gas mileage much? Thanks

You could move to a 275/70/18 and gain about an inch tall without any extra width and without having to change wheels. That shouldn't effect your truck very much performance-wise and the speedometer wouldn't be terribly off either.
