A/C evaporator leaking
Hello out there could anyone tell me what the procedure is to replace the a/c evaporator in my 08 F-350 king ranch.
I called the dealership and they said you have to reprogram the computer for everything to work after removing the dash is this correct ?
I have replaced evaporators before but nothing this new looks like alot of fun .

I do not believe reprogramming will be necessary, but you will likely have to remove the entire dashboard. I no longer subscribe to the service manual, but you would do well to go to www.motorcraftservice.com and pay for the OEM workshop subscription. This would tell you all you need to know.

Thanks Tom I did get the dash out what a bunch of wires to disconnect.
Also had to remove passenger inner fender well to get to a/c line disconnects apart now just trying to figure out the heater box.
I can get to the top of the evaporator there is a cover but you still need to get the heater box pulled away from fire wall.
It's hard to find whats holding it in place also the heater box / a/c box has some screws that hold the two halfs together also it is glued together several places.
But it does not look like I would have to take the two parts apart if I can just get it away from the firewall.
