Theft Prevension

So this morning i went out to my truck to continue working on my cooling system. i go to the drivers side door and i see that it is not closed all the way. did not think much of it. so i prceeded to open the hood. i close the door and i am walking around to the front of the truck and i glance back inside the cab and notice that my center console looked different. i decided to investigat further. i have the two cup holders in the console that flips up to reveal a center seat. well there is a thing that slides out to cover the cup holders. that slider was out covering the cup holders. two days ago when i quit working on it for the night the cup holders were open. i had a thing that would plug into the DC power point so i could listen to my ipod through my speakers in the truck. that is gone. i have a pair of golf shoes in the back seat and those were moved. once i discovered all this i went to the passenger door and it was not closed all the way just like the driver's door was.

I am thankfull that nothing is physically damaged or missing on te truck. as far as i can tell they did not take my fuel.

For now i have locked both doors and discontected the elec connections on the IP. that is what i will be doing until i get an alarm system or kill switch.

My dad has been on me to rig up some kind of kill switches. what do you guys think about any different methods of theft prevention.

I agree with Jayme, i have 7 guns and over 2000 rounds of ammo, so if you can get away with my truck and live you'll have used most of your 9 lives.

Thanks for the link.

My neighbor came over a little while ago and he said that he had some stuff stolen out of his truck last night aswell. he said they took a gps unit and his pain pills for his back. he said that the people that live in the house in front of him said that there was a big party that was going on right across the street from us. pretty safe to assume it was kids from that party. it must have been kids b/c he said that he had a bunch of tools in the back of his truck and they did not touch those. i guess they did not want the tylenol and cassete tapes that were in my truck. can't imagine why they would not want cassetes.

as far as the guns go i don't think that would go over to well on campus at college. plus i would rather have the personal satisfaction of beating the living **** out of the *******s.

I never lock mine. Since I carry my gun everywhere I go (better to have it and never need it than need it and not have it) I pitty any one who tries to take her. At home the dog will bark at the least little sound outside and I investigate those sounds armed. The only reason I wear my seat blet is so that I have a good reason why I am reaching down that way if possibly being carjacked lol. Working in cinci it is possible lol.

Do you live in a dorm? If not screw them! Personally I would say screw them anyway. The no gun rules on campuses and school property is just another socialist liberal joke.

no i commute everyday. i am sorry but i don't think the college would say "ya sure bring a gun to school with you it is just another socialist, liberal joke". i am only 18, i don't think i could even get a gun anyways.

No, not legally lol. But at 21 you can get a concealed carry permit (if possible in your state) and in most cases as long as you leave it properly stored in your vehicle you could take it with you. Sorry, I will stop now lol. I do get carried away sometimes on our right to keep and bear arms!
