Great job! This came out perfect. I'm off to Ace Hardware to get a Krylon pen. Thanks for posting. Scott

What a useful thread! Thanks for posting and sharing, guys. As soon as I get my bad boy back from the paint shop I'm going to zip on down to Michaels to buy a Krylon pen...and I'm going to park right out front .

Nope it's not. I originally planned to paint my truck John Deere green. I stripped out the white in both of my shift ***** (former np435) and re painted the recess. I liked it so it stayed.

Next I did a bit of searching to see what matches the paint on the bezel. Turns out theres a guy on the 80 to 86 forum that was using a Krylon Silver Leaf Paint Pen to repaint the silver edge on the bezels so I decided to run to the arts and farts store "michaels" to see if they had one, They did. So I get home scrub her down again with wax and tar paint prep and laid into it. Here is the result. I have a much cleaner radio dash bezel that still has the silver intact. I would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Painting it was super easy just start from the inset parts first, then the middle pieces, then do the outside so you dont run into it with your hands. Other than a steady hand it was super easy.
I followed your advice. Other than painting mine black first to give it a fresh start. Looks so good now. Thanks for the post.

Quick added note - unless you have a light touch you may find the tip on the paint pen getting grooved or distorted. You can buy replacement tips at Hobby Lobby for under $2
