frame swap from a 77 f250 l4x4 ong box to my 66 f250 2wd long box

a guy at work on a different crew bought a 77 high boy for the bed and other parts. he asked me if i wanted to buy the rest from him for parts. Im curious if i could put the cab and bed of my 66 f250 on this 4wd drive high boy frame, it has a strong running 390 4 barrell in it, solid 4speed top loader trans and solid 4 wheel drive t-case. does any one know if these chasis blot to older model cabs and beds this would be really nice if i could my 66 4 wheel drive and have power steering, AC, power brakes.

I can say for certan that cab forward will bolt right on. The long box of the 66 may not however. I hear it is best to take the whole cab and front clip off in one piece to avoid realigning everything. Just lift the 66 off and roll the old frame out and then roll the new one under and bolt it back together.

As Bill noted it should fit, the cab/front clip should bolt right up. Your adjusting will be in the bed area the four inches difference in the chassis will show up there.

yep it can be done the gap between cab and box will be bigger you will need to do a body lift in front to line up with box as frame on 66 is flat and highboy has a kick in rear .
I know as i did this and the truck in my avatar has this combo
