2000 F250 Center Console/seat

Hello all!
I just picked up a 2000 F-250 CC 4WD 7.3L, and the only thing i'm not a big fan of is that bulky center seat/console deal.
I like the height for the arms rests, but the seat isn't of any use for me, and all the wasted space underneath bothers me, especially since I like to put my backpack between the dash and the center seat on the floor there.

Has anyone swapped that out for something better?
Or, has anyone modified theirs in some way to make it more usable?

Atlanta, GA.
Is the console all the way to the dash?

the stock console doesn't go all of the way to the dash. this is what it looks like, but you can't really see how it fits. i'll try to snap a pic tomorrow so you have a better idea.

Yep, I understand, I like the design far more than what I have now.
Where are you located?

I like that interior! Problem is, I don't have armrests for my front bucket seats. I need to find newer model seats to put in mine, front and back.

thank you. its an old truck, but in nice shape.

yeah, the console-interior gets armrests and the jump-seat-interior not. the armrests can be removed, but i don't know if the right hardware is on the jump-seat-buckets to attach them (https://www.oemcarandtruckseats.com/...for-3-up-front).

what color is your jump seat?

My interior is tan. It's in decent shape, but the drivers seat has a palm-sized piece missing from wear and tear.
My seats do not have the hardware for armrests, so i'll have to swap the entire front seating to get what I want.

ok. since we aren't really a "match" for interior swap and we're on opposite coasts, this probably won't work. ...but it sounds like the factory console may be what you're looking for.

Mounting

Is the mounting for a center console different than the jump seat? If so I bought a center console but I don’t have any mounting brackets for it and I do t know where to look for any!
