This is the best site. You can do much for yourself by searching for past topics/threads.

I have a different era of truck,(57-60).Yours would be 53-56,which the vast majority of members in this forum own.You can get about any info you need from the knowledgeable and helpful guys here.

Once you've got enough posts,(25, I think),place ads in the classified section. It's very important to list your location,so nearby members can perhaps help you out.Welcome to FTE.

Steve

Note: There's a guy from Ohio, who mutilates/dismembers/sells-for-profit 53-56 trucks,he's sure to see this thread and respond! LOL Kevin?

Hey 56Fordguy,

Welcome to FTE and the the F250 family. As an owner of multiple F250, I have learned there some difference between F100 and F250 and also 53-55 and 56. A lot depends on the parts and pieces you are looking at. Do yourself a huge favor and get a catalog from Mid-50 and it tells a lot about the difference in parts between the years. The first 54 F250 I bought I spent over 4 months educating myself about the ins and outs of the truck. Some might say I became obsessed but I feel like know there is nothing I can't overcome, tackle or deal with when restoring one of these beauties. Look through the forums here on FTE and they WILL be your best source for most things. Good luck! Oh, and pictures, we love pictures.
